Designing sienna: A Mental Health Check-In App
Long before it became an app, sienna started as a way to track how I felt on my lowest days.

Long before sienna
Before I even knew my career could lead to building mobile apps, I was already using a few of them just to track how I felt. Some were very sophisticated, others painfully simple, but I used them constantly, especially in my lowest moments.
Why I built it
That's where the idea for sienna started: a place with more thoughtful features, built so people don't feel alone and can move through things at their own pace. I like making things that help people reflect and take life one step at a time, and that's exactly what I wanted sienna to be.
The personal part
Finishing sienna felt like a relief, and I wanted people to feel a little better because of it. That's also why the guitar and the tattoos are part of this post: they're another way I turn pain into something made, the same way the app itself is a technical answer to the same feeling.
